Giant cane (Arundo donax): the canes are cut at the end of winter. The fibers are used when they are one year old.
For Olive (Olea europea), Elm (Ulmus minor), Mastic (Pistacia lentiscus), Willow (Salix viminalis, Salix purpurea, Salix trianda, Salix alba), Myrtle (Myrtus communis), Fillirea (Phyllirea latifoglia), and Wild broom (Genista corsica), the shoots of the current year are harvested.
