Twisted stitch

Stitch: puntu a paneri or an imbodigadura, using a large needle. The most complicated stitch (twisted with 2 turns) is called puntu a paneri, from which the name of the basket made using this technique derives, istelzu a paneri. The coils are thin and permit the addition of triangular decorations called piccos o arcos, using twisted stitches.

Fixed stitch

Material: a bunch of sea hay, reeds or wheat culms, dried and rehydrated .

Stitch: with needle. The work is completed stitch by stitch and the objects made with this technique take their name from it: istelzu appuntizzadu.
