Fixed stitch

Regarding the twisted stitch, particular techniques, tools and nomenclature differing from those of other parts of the Island where this structure is used, have not been noted. The material for the coils is made up of a bunch of asphodel strips, dried and rehydrated with water before use.

It is a different story for the coiled structure using a fixed stitch.

Material: asphodel stems dried and rehydrated. Stitch: with a bone punch obtained from the shank of an animal, using light and dark strips of fiber obtained from asphodel stems.
