No. 53. Corbula (basket), local name colbula. Container for foodstuffs. Woven with fixed stitch technique using a needle with weft of dwarf palm, warp of sea hay and decorations in dwarf palm colored with natural dyes.

No. 52. Canestro (basket), local name canelstrhu. Container for flour and bread rising. Woven with fixed stitch technique using a needle with weft of dwarf palm and warp of sea hay.

No. 23. Corbula (basket) local name colbula.  Container for foodstuffs. Woven with  fixed stitch technique using a needle with weft of dwarf palm, warp of sea hay and decorations in dyed natural raffia.

No. 51 MATERIALS

No. 51a. Dwarf palm. Used for fine weaving of baskets, carriers and strainers and for coarser products like cords, ropes and brooms.

No. 51b. Sea hay, local name pagliola. Belongs to the Ammophile family. It grows wild on sand dunes near the beach.
